| The Distance Learning Center provides an ideal setting for vidoeconferencing
and distributed education programs of all descriptions. Its four classrooms,
seating between twenty and fifty people, have built-in audiovisual and television
support to create an environment suited to local and remote clients.
All classrooms are well appointed, and offer:
- Projection screens with computer/video projectors and sound systems
- PC computers with Internet access
- Audio and video presentation equipment
- Direct control of all classroom functions
- Total accessibility
The Distance Learning Center staff, in collaboration with Instruction and Research Services' Video Services Office, provide video production, conferencing,
streaming, satellite downlink, and presentation support and expertise.
The twenty, thirty and fifty seat classrooms allow for capture and transmission
of local classes and events to remote locations around the country. Each classroom
is connected to our production room allowing our staff to produce professional
level recordings and transmissions. In addition to the in-room equipment listed
above each classroom is configured with:
- Two presenter (rear) cameras
- One student (front) cameras
- Overhead document camera
- Local DVD and VCR equipment
- Presenter laptop port
